Dear Trinitas Regional Medical Center Family:
Saturday, September 30th was a great day for "Team Trinitas" - which put in an
outstanding showing at the American Heart Association's annual HeartWalk!
Trinitas fielded one of the largest teams at the HeartWalk, which was held on
the campus of Schering-Plough Corporation in Kenilworth. One-hundred-twenty
Trinitas walkers raised over $12,000 for the fight against heart disease and
stroke.
I was very pleased to serve as co-chair of the Union County HeartWalk with
Raymond Russo, Vice President, Schering-Plough Corporation. During the speaking
program prior to the walk, it was most gratifying to look out upon the crowd at
a sea of red Trinitas t-shirts! Without a doubt, Trinitas had the most visible
and enthusiastic representation at the event.
Serving on the Union County HeartWalk executive committee were Nancy DiLiegro,
PhD, Director, Clinical Services, and Michael McIntyre, Director, Support
Services. Mike also served as the "Red Cap Chairperson" and spoke eloquently of
his personal experience with heart disease.
The Trinitas team was organized under the guidance of Nancy DiLiegro and Ann
Marie Scanlon, RN, Diagnostic Services. Special thanks also go to the following
Team Captains: Kelly Baker, Carol Blecker, Kanisha Boyd, Kerry Cowart, Carl
Curto, Cheryl Krempa, John Perina, Sharon Rial, Cathy Ryan and Dominick
Valenzano.
Photos taken during the HeartWalk appear on the Trinitas Regional Medical Center website (www.TrinitasHospital.org)
and in a display case outside the Williamson Street Campus Cafeteria.
Thanks to all who participated and helped Trinitas shine once again!
Sincerely,
Gary S. Horan, FACHE
President & Chief Executive Officer
