Like Rockefeller Center, Trinitas Regional Medical Center ushered in the Yuletide Season
with tree lightings and performances of holiday favorites. Battin Balladeers
from Elizabeth's Battin Middle School and Trinitas employees entertained at
New Point Campus and Williamson Street Campus.
Members of the Holiday Express entertainment troupe delighted the audience
at the hospital's Kinship Connection Holiday Party. Everyone enjoyed the
early December event!
Trinitas employees and their children and grandchildren attended the annual
holiday party where Santa Claus held court and listened to Christmas wishes
from tiny tots to teens. More than 450 adults and young people enjoyed
non-stop entertainment from Pattycake, and roving "celebrities" like Rudolph
the Red Nosed Reindeer, Mickey Mouse, Elmo from Sesame Street, Frosty and
Dora the Explorer.
The corps of Trinitas Volunteers shared in the sprit of fellowship and
giving at the annual Holiday party. More than 120 volunteers and
representatives from the hospital administration enjoyed a wonderful
luncheon at the Garwood Restaurant. Volunteers donated gifts for children
who are served through various programs at the hospital.
"Inker," a Laborador Retriever specially trained to deal with hospital bound
patients, brought a canine brand of yuletide cheer to patients at Trinitas.
Through the pet therapy program, Inker visted adult and pediatric patients
just before Christmas.
The Women's Circle of the Osceola Presbyterian Church in Clark, New Jersey,
donated more than 35 layettes that were distributed to new Moms and their
newborns in early December. Each layette contained knitted and crocheted
items that these women created for the tiny recipients. Nurses in the Labor
and Delivery and the Mother/Baby unit delivered the packages to the grateful
and appreciative moms and babies.
