TRINITAS SCHOOL OF NURSING GRADUATES 52
Men and women from Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset and Union Counties in New Jersey, and Staten Island and Flushing, New York, are among the May 2009 graduates of the Trinitas School of Nursing.
As a Cooperative Nursing Program with Union County College, Trinitas School of Nursing confers a Diploma in Nursing from Trinitas and an Associate in Science degree from the College. With nearly 2,000 students, Trinitas School of Nursing has one of the largest student enrollments in the nation, second only to Excelsior College School of Nursing in Albany, New York, as reported by Modern Healthcare Magazine.
Trinitas School of Nursing is currently a National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in Nursing Education for 2008-2011 in recognition of its sustained efforts to create environments that promote student learning and professional development. There are 13 schools nationally with this elite NLN designation. Trinitas is the first school in New Jersey and the first cooperative program in the nation to receive this prestigious award.
The School takes pride in one of the highest pass rates for registered nurse licensure among its students who take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX). Since 1990, 97 percent of the school’s graduates have passed the NCLEX exam on first writing. In fact, the January and May 2006 graduating classes achieved a perfect 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-RN national examination on first writing.
