High Risk Pregnancies: Healthy Deliveries
For a pregnant woman, nothing is more important than the health of her baby.
And thanks to Trinitas Regional Medical Center's comprehensive high-risk pregnancy program,
women experiencing medical or obstetrical complications can find the care,
treatment and reassurance they need.
Whether the diagnosis is diabetes, hypertension, multiple births or fetal
abnormalities, the medical team at Trinitas is able to provide extensive
treatment throughout a woman's pregnancy, as well as perform the area's most
advanced ultrasound and prenatal diagnostic procedures, including
amniocentesis.
"Our state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment provides 3-D and 4-D imaging
capability, enabling both the patient and staff to clearly view the fetus,"
says Camille Walker, MD, a board certified specialist in both
Obstetrics/Gynecology and Maternal/Fetal Medicine. "This not only allows the
medical team to provide a more accurate diagnosis, but it also gives the
mother a deeper understanding of the complications involved."
With extensive experience treating medical complications during pregnancy,
Dr. Walker is able to provide women with comprehensive care during pregnancy
or refer patients to sub-specialists as needed.
"A few years ago, many women experiencing high risk pregnancies had to
travel outside Union County for services," says Dr. Walker. "But today, we
are able to offer a high-level, hospital-based perinatal center right here
at Trinitas."
